The largest Buddhist temple in Bangladesh is found in Bandarban, it is known as Buddha Dhatu Jadi. It is a temple devoted to Theravada and is found on top of a hill sixty meters in height. The architecture of the temple is mainly influenced by Southeast Asian design.

The Buddha Dhatu Jadi has become famous not only for being the largest temple in the country, but for two items found inside as well. It is said that the temple holds an important or sacred relic. It is also home to an image of Buddha which holds the record of being the second largest image in Bangladesh.
