The Mandayi Market has been in existence since the 18th century. For decades, it has been one of the favorite places to buy goods for locals and tourists alike. The line of two story houses found behind the Pul-i-Khisti Mosque has a lot to offer tourists from their local goods such as spices, nuts, dried fruits, Turkey and tea to hand woven blankets, beads and other garments.
Considered as the nerve center of Kabul, the Mandayi Market is always busy. Slabs of beef sizzle in sesame oil, boys pushing wheelbarrows filled with goods and merchants shouting out their offers, it is a place where you can experience the busy life in Kabul.
